NCT Attends the IMechE’s 26th Mission of Tribology Research

Rory Taylor from ESR Technology’s National Centre of Tribology (NCT) attended the 26th Mission of Tribology Research hosted by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (www.imeche.org) at their prestigious headquarters in London.

This annual event is aimed at UK research groups who are concerned with improving our understanding of friction, wear and lubrication processes. Topics presented included false brinelling contact damage, self-lubricating composites, fretting of exotic alloys, failure detection of bearing liner materials and anti-wear coatings, to name a few. These are all topics that NCT has either had some historical involvement in, or has conducted research and testing since our creation 50 years ago.

NCT offers many different industries with independent and confidential solutions through tribology consultancy, mechanical design and development, bespoke machinery testing, consultancy involving metallurgical or materials expertise, forensic engineering and expert witness, especially on cases involving issues concerning tribology and material properties.
