The integrity of electrical control and instrumentation (EC&I) systems - including software-based systems- is critical to the safety, reliability and availability of many industrial and commercial systems. Failures can be very expensive in terms of lost output and lives can be put at risk in some circumstances. Many of the failures that occur could be prevented.

Timely review and analysis of EC&I systems can reveal weaknesses which, if addressed, will prevent failures or reduce the severity of the outcome.
