Dr Gary Bywater is a Principal Metallurgist at the National Centre of Tribology, with 10 years of materials engineering experience.
Gary has materials engineering experience across automotive, aluminium/refractory, and heavy steel heat treatment laboratories.
Dr Bywater has investigated hundreds of materials related issues ranging from quality assessments/testing to the higher stakes root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and problem resolution topics where considerable financial fallout (~ £250k – 1M) was at risk.
