Olly Poyntz-Wright

Olly is an engineer and project manager with two decades of experience working in the space industry, with a focus on supporting space science missions.
With a career starting as a spacecraft thermal engineer, Olly broadened his experience into mechanical design and eventually mechanisms. Olly’s wide ranging expertise includes design, development, as well as testing and verification activities. More recently, he has applied his technical skills to successfully running and managing projects within the Space Mechanisms team at ESR Technology.
Olly has contributed to a number of high profile European Space Agency missions include James Webb Space Telescope, EarthCARE, and Solar Orbiter.
He is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
