As part of ESR Technology’s ongoing commitment to improving the sustainability of our operations, we continue to monitor the performance of the solar panels installed at our Warrington site.
During October 2026, our solar panels generated 7,661 kWh of renewable electricity, continuing to provide an on-site source of energy as we move into the autumn and winter months.
October solar performance
Of the 7,661 kWh generated during October, 7,599.8 kWh was consumed directly on-site, representing approximately 99% of the solar energy generated.
Only 61.2 kWh, or around 1%, was exported back to the grid. This means that almost all of the electricity produced by the solar installation during the month was put to use directly within our Warrington operations.
October at a glance
- 7,661 kWh of solar energy generated
- 7,599.8 kWh consumed on-site
- 61.2 kWh exported to the grid
- 99% of generated solar electricity used directly on-site
- 41,821 kWh total site electricity consumption during October
While October naturally brings shorter daylight hours compared with the summer months, the solar installation continued to contribute renewable electricity towards the site’s overall energy requirements.
Supporting our environmental commitments
The solar installation forms part of ESR Technology’s wider approach to improving the environmental performance of our operations.
Monitoring monthly generation allows us to understand how much renewable electricity is being produced and, importantly, how much is being used directly by the business. October’s 99% on-site utilisation demonstrates that the electricity generated closely supports the site’s day-to-day energy demand.
We will continue to monitor and report on the performance of our solar panels as part of our wider sustainability and ESG activities
