ESR Technology is delighted to share some fantastic news from the National Centre of Tribology (NCT). One of our newest recruits, David MacMillan, has successfully passed his PhD viva.
David joined NCT earlier this year and has already made a significant impression with his expertise, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking. His doctoral research in Tribotechnology aligns perfectly with the work we do at NCT. Passing his viva is a remarkable personal achievement and a huge asset to the team.
During his time with us so far, David has played a crucial role in the design and development of bespoke testing rigs—a core part of NCT’s offering. His analytical approach, attention to detail, and hands-on problem-solving have already helped elevate our rig design and testing capabilities.
With his PhD now formally completed, David is in an even stronger position to contribute to NCT’s mission of delivering world-class tribology consultancy and testing services. His academic background brings fresh perspectives and deeper technical accuracy to our projects, while his practical mindset ensures his innovations translate into real-world solutions.
